What is the purpose?
The purpose of the conference is to bring together deacons, deaconesses and diaconal workers from throughout the Australian Anglican Church:
- to share their common calling, their experiences in diaconal ministry and training
- to provide mutual encouragement
- to expand the vision of the Diaconate and
- to provide motivation for the future.
Who can attend?
The conference is open to all deacons, deaconesses, theologically-trained workers holding a Bishop's licence and those currently in training for the diaconate.
Cost
$320 per person includes:
- single room accommodation
- conference registration, meals, morning and afternoon teas.

- The Venerable Anne Ranse, Archdeacon to the diaconate and people with disabilities, Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn.
- The Right Reverend John Stead, Assistant Bishop, Diocese of Bathurst. John will be our resident AADA bishop.

Additional information
- Association fees are due for renewal at the AGM. Membership of the AADA is still $50 for 2 years. Fees for those on ATOs or on a pension is $25.

- The AADA president, Anne Ranse would like all diocesan representatives or diaconate convenors to submit an annual report three weeks prior to the conference. Please contact Anne if you are experiencing difficulties.
- Deacons from each diocese are invited to bring items for their trading table. Any proceeds from sales will remain with your diocese to assist with your funding.
- A Christian book stall will be operating throughout the conference.
